Trees for troops 2010 a Success

Christmas Trees for Troops in the NEWS
AFN News Report:

Join us in our 3rd year of Christmas trees, and decorating the halls of the MTD wards in Landstuhl!
We need handmade ornaments, and decorations for the halls. We would love Christmas stockings, and hand written Christmas cards!  If you or your organization would like to participate in making any of these items, please see the bottom of this post, send us a note, and let us know!

One tree is placed in every room of the MTD wards, and several other wards within the hospital during the holiday season......

Lots of volunteers help to make this possible each season! Thank you to everyone who helped us last year!

Santa's Special Elf double checking the list... for deliveries.....

We personally deliver each tree along with a gift bag of christmas cards ....

Our elves worked long and hard hours last season...  They were delivered successfully!

We decorated and deliver aprox 200 small christmas trees each season.

Christmas Cards by the boxes!!!! a GREAT blessing!

Delivering trees in the Hospital...

Elves hard at work.....

This season we were able to put on a concert in the USO for the wounded soldiers and serve dinner. The food was donated by the Cantina Mexicana, and Children's Choir from KMC Elementary schools along with the Airforce band performed tradtional christmas carols.

After the mini concert, all the children went hall to hall in the MTD wards and sang christmas songs. It was a true blessing to several soldiers.
