Trees for Troops 2008 Needs your help

Greetings!!
Thank you for visiting our site! As you can see in the previous post, Christmas Trees for Troops was a hit last season!

On January 3rd we went to collect the Christmas trees as we had planned on using them for years to come, with only needing to collect ornaments each year; much to our surprise only 30 were recovered! That means that over 150 were taken home or back down range with the Soldiers! =)

So..... our most important need is

TREES
Trees must be no taller than 3 feet. if you are mailing them from the states please ship no later than november 15th.

To drop off or donate a tree localy, please email mark.tilsher@ramstein.af.mil
we are happy to pick up trees, and also set up drop off boxes at your location if need be.

Set up is November 28th at LRMC MTD Wards. ( saturday after Thanksgiving)

As part of the Christmas Trees for Troops this year we have two additional events :

December 15th, the airforce band and several childrens school classes from the KMC area will be performing Christmas Carols for the Soldiers in the USO warrior Center in the evening.
Last year we were also able to hand deliver with the assistance of the hospital Chaplains, christmas trees to military family members, retired veterans in the ICU, Hospital Check in areas, and other patient areas in the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
